These days she only wears her harness when we take her out in the car. The reason is, that here in Spain, unless you have a grill in the car between the driver and dog, the dog has to be tethered so it can't interfere with the driver. It is not unusual to have to stamp on the brakes when some idiot pulls out in front, so in order to avoid breaking her neck should such a situation occur, we clip the strap to her harness. The harness which was only bought as a temporary measure when we first had her because she was so nervous has come in very handy.
